Q. What is Summit?
A. Summit is simply chondroitin 4 sulfate (C4S), suspended in sterile water. Summit was originally developed to use in human ocular lens transplant surgeries. Summit is the purest form of C4S available. Unlike other products, it has had all heparins and other potentially damaging molecules removed from the single C4S molecule. Summit is an all-natural product, not a synthetic created in the lab, nor polysulfated. Summit has an incredibly low molecular weight, and its small size allows it to penetrate barriers in the body, like joint capsules, much easier than other products. A large percentage of the molecules that make up tissues in the joints is C4S. Replenishing these structures with nature’s version of this important molecule, instead of synthetic lab creations that are over 100x the molecular weight, is of great beneﬁt.
Q. What is the injection protocol for the loading dose of Summit Equine/Canine?
A. Give one IM (intra-muscular) shot every 7 days for 4 weeks. After the loading dose, most horses and/or dogs will be able to switch to a once-per-month dosing schedule. High performance horses in heavy competition can beneﬁt from using Summit more often. Many top-level horses on a Summit regimen use it once a week.
Q. Are there any negative side eﬀects?
A. As with any injection, there is always a slight risk of an injection site reaction. The occurrences of an injection site reaction with Summit has been less than 1 in 10,000. It has not however been tested in pregnant animals.
Q. My horse has a chip in a joint, will Summit help?
A. Unfortunately, there is nothing that will cure a chip without surgery.
Q. Why is Summit Joint Performance so much more reasonably priced than other joint products on the market?
A. From day one, Summit Joint Performance has made a conscious decision to keep the price low in order to help as many animals as possible, to perform and feel their best. We do not want price to be the determining factor that could prevent a needy animal from receiving the beneﬁ ts of Summit.
Q. Do I administer the whole vial?
A. Yes. Each vial is a single dose. To ensure sterility, we do not make multi-dose vials.
Q. If I place my order today, when will it ship and how long will it take to arrive?
A. Customer orders will normally be fulﬁlled within 2 business days of receipt. An additional 1-7 business days are then required for delivery, depending on shipping method chosen.
Q. How do I cancel or change my order?
A. Unfortunately, due to our fast fulﬁllment times, we are unable to make changes to orders once they have been shipped. If you made a mistake in your order, please immediately email us at [email protected] and we will make every eff ort to make the change before it ships. If the order has already been shipped and/or you put an invalid mailing address, your order will ship to that address and be returned to the warehouse. A new shipment will be generated, and an additional shipping charge will apply.

A. We accept these forms of payment for online transactions: MasterCard, Visa, American Express & Discover.
Q. What is your return policy?
A. Summit Joint Performance does not accept returns of injectable products. On non-injectable products, we will gladly accept returns on unused products, minus cost of shipping, and a $5.00 restocking fee. For a refund of a non-injectable product, please submit a claim within 30 days of original order shipment date and we will issue a credit back to the original form of payment. Any refund requests submitted after 30 days, within 60 days, of the shipment date will receive a product credit to the account.
Q. Is your website secure?
A. Summit Joint Performance is committed to protecting your personal information and providing a secure online shopping experience. We use industry standard encryption and password protection technologies such as a SSL (Secure Socket Layer). This is a technology used by online sites to provide secure online transactions.
Q. Will my personal information be shared with any third parties?
A. At Summit Joint Performance we value your privacy. It is our policy never to sell, rent, barter or trade personal information with any third parties.
Q. May I still order if I live outside the United States?
A. At this time, Summit Joint Performance accepts orders within the ﬁfty (50) United States, Puerto Rico, APO/FPO addresses. We offer standard shipping to domestic P.O. Boxes, Puerto Rico, and APO/FPO Military addresses. We are growing quickly with a goal to ship internationally. Please contact [email protected] to see if we can accommodate your shipping request. For your protection, we will not ship merchandise if we are unable to verify your billing address. *Shipping methods are subject to change depending on ﬁnal destination.
Q. What are the requirements to become a Summit Representative?
A. • Be at least 18 years of age
• Reside in the United States
• Provide Summit Joint Performance with his/her valid Social Security or Federal Tax ID number
• Purchase a Summit Starter Kit (optional in North Dakota, Massachusetts and Wyoming for residents of those states)
• Submit a properly completed Representative Application and Agreement to Summit Joint Performance online.
Q. What do you do if asked to respond to media inquiries regarding Summit Joint Performance?
A. All inquiries by any type of media must be immediately referred to [email protected] This policy is to ensure that consistent and accurate information is provided to the public. Failure to submit inquiries to compliance may result in suspension and/or termination.
Q. Do Summit representatives ever have exclusive territories?
A. No, we do not grant exclusive territories to anyone.
